British Model and Actress Samira Mohamed Ali will be the new ambassador for MAYA Swimwear in Europe and Asia as the US based company plans to expand their operations into these new markets by the end of 2017. The curvaceous former Miss Europe winner will join a host of top celebrities that currently wear the exclusive brand such as Jennifer Aniston, Vanessa Minnillo, Cameron Diaz, Jessica Alba, Kristin Cavallari, Fergie, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Marissa Miller, Lindsay Lohan, Kimberly Stewart, Britney Spears, Nicole Richie, Nina Dobrev, Julianne Hough, Doutzen Kroes, Fergie, Brandi Glanville, among others.
Maya’s first collection was introduced in the United States in 2001 and is the brainchild of third generation Argentine designer Carolina Dinardi. “My design combines glamour, style, and femininity, without losing freedom. I want people to feel the confidence that comfort gives and have fun with it and to have Samira as one of our Ambassadors and one of our #MayaGirls is now going to reaffirm this vision as we expand the business. Samira has great connections and has worked in modeling and films across Europe and Asia over the last 5 years; we are very excited to have her represent our brand. The new photos of Samira are truly stunning and we can see that she will be a perfect fit for us”, says Carolina Dinardi, designer and founder of Maya Swimwear.
Meaning “illusion” in Sanskrit, MAYA was the perfect name for owner and designer, Carolina Dinardi’s dream of creating a Swimwear Collection entirely designed to flatter a woman’s body. Maya Swimsuits are a departure from both the more conservative American cuts and the tiny Brazilian cuts, combining practicality with South American sensuality creating this original Argentinian cut, sensual but not fully revealing. With a sculpted lower cut, and a wider, more flexible fit, Maya allows freedom and comfort in movement while still turning heads.
“I am thrilled to have been chosen by Maya to represent their iconic brand as they launch their new range of XL sizes for the curvier female body. This topic is very close to me heart and a personal goal of mine in raising awareness of the healthy size body. I have been modeling since I was 9 years old and seen how the market has changed over the years. These final few weeks of preparation and the official photo-shoot in Wales with Ryan Bater has been very exciting and I look forward to being part of the team and representing the brand across Europe and Asia” says Samira Mohamed Ali.
For more than a decade now, Maya Swimwear has been outfitting a ground swell of MayaGirls in beautiful styles and patterns of swimwear and bikinis. Maya’s Signature Cut provides the perfect fit by allowing the fabric to follow the natural curves of a woman’s ‘cola,’ the Argentinian word for bottom or derriere. Carolina’s design has changed the way women feel in their bathing suits forever.
Maya Swimwear has received wonderful, positive feedback from Top Magazine Editors and Maya’s Collections have been featured in various worldwide Top Magazines throughout the years since it was introduced in the United States in 2002.
